Frequently Asked Questions

To become a Takumi creator, there are a few minimum requirements:

  • 50 photos
  • Your account should be public
  • You must be in a region where Takumi is available. Takumi is currently available in the USA, UK and Ireland, Germany, Austria and France.

Here are some of the things that we’re looking for:

Your followers must be real people, not bots. Your following should be built up organically, not using “follow for follow” hashtags (#FF, #instafollow, #l4l, #tagforlikes, #followback, etc). We don’t accept accounts that have used any services or apps that inflate your follower count or engagement rate.

Your account should contain original content, created by you. We don’t accept accounts that post mostly memes, quotes, screenshots or reposts. We don’t accept fanpage accounts or brand accounts.

We’re looking for accounts that consistently produce high quality, creative images. We don’t accept account with low-resolution, out of focus images or low quality filters (snapchat filters, stickers, etc).

When you join Takumi, we review your Instagram account and tag you with interests that match your feed (fashion, travel, etc). We use these tags to match you with suitable campaigns, along with your age, gender and location.

If you aren’t seeing any campaigns, it could be because we don’t have any current campaigns that match your interests.

We may send you a notification when a campaign closely matches your profile, so make sure you have notifications enabled.

Go to Settings -> Notifications -> Takumi -> Allow Notifications

To turn location services on or off:

  • Leave the Takumi app and go to your iPhone’s Settings.
  • Tap Privacy > Location Services.
  • Scroll down and tap Takumi.
  • Decide to allow location access Never or While Using the App.

Once the gig is payable there should be a big golden button titled “Claim £40” (or other number depending on your reward). Press that button to issue a payout. If you haven’t entered your bank account details before, you will be prompted to do so. You can always update your bank details on the “Settings” tab.

After having claimed the payment within the app, it usually takes 3-4 working days for the funds to reach the account. This depends on the receiving bank.
