With a global TikTok following of over 1.9 million fans and a community of loyal followers across Instagram and YouTube, we sat down with Amardeep to talk about his life journey and the love he has for magic.

Hi Amardeep! Tell us about what you do…

I am a professional Magician who goes by the stage name ‘Magic Singh’. I perform my shows worldwide at corporate events, weddings, private parties and more! I’ve also made a name for myself on social media, performing quick mind blowing magic tricks.

How long have you been doing magic?

I have been performing magic since the age of 11. I’m currently 34 and therefore have been doing magic for 24+ years! However, professionally I have been wowing people for the last 14 years…

How did you get started in magic?

I remember at the age of 11 watching David Blaine Street Magic. I was hooked! It was the coolest thing I had ever seen, and Blaine had changed the way magic was perceived…he made magic look incredibly cool. I wanted to be like him and get those over the top reactions.

Do you have any advice for somebody looking to become interested in magic?

My advice would be to read up on the basics of magic. The core slight of hand techniques are extremely important in magic. Once you have an understanding of this, the rest becomes easier to learn and practice. I also highly recommend to perform for family and friends so that you get comfortable performing in a real life situation.

Why do you like creating content on TikTok?

I love creating videos on TikTok because it allows me to showcase my work to the world. The beauty with TikTok is that I can have fun and be creative with my magic. Plus all the added features such as adding licenced music really enhances the videos.

Do you have any big goals on social media for the rest of the year?

I have targets for all platforms that I would like to hit regarding my followers. I’m currently focusing on growing my YouTube channel as this is the closest thing to having my own TV show.
